Hey guys! Love love love your podcasts and website! It has been my tradition since I started back in school to listen to your podcasts pretty much each day I drive to and from class. You’re really pulling off 2 weeks so well, and I’m loving it. So sorry to ask a request of you all, but I was wondering if you all could list this video on your site sometime since Christmas is coming soon, and a lot of people will be buying the DS Coffin sets. This video explains the differences of the nearly-identical bootleg copies that are all over ebay and from private sellers on Amazon.

I bought mine back in the spring and got one of the counterfeit sets that are being sold on ebay/Amazon, and I gave my video to Mr McBride of CHS who submitted it to MPI. Since then, they released a statement stating these differences. I would hate to see any of your listeners go through what I did and lose all the money I did. These sets are widely circulated right now. No hard feelings if you decide not to post it. Still a fan, and love what you do! Please keep going, guys! You’re great!

Thanks for the encouragement and support! And of course we have no problem with your sharing information about counterfeit coffin sets. Your video is here for all to see. Yes, the coffin sets ARE a lot of money. We got ours early, it was a big investment, but its been invaluable in producing the podcast. A MUST for any Dark Shadows fan!

      Thanks again!

The only reason that the original Phoenix storyline ended was that Diana Millay was pregnant. They had no choice but to end that plot. In truth, the writers had very little time to plan anything. They were lucky if they knew what was going to happen just a week ahead of time.

Nowadays I think we’re so used to series that are plotted out seasons in advance. I think perhaps the only thing that was given less advance thought in the 1960’s was the storylines in comic books!

I don’t know if I agree with you that the writers didn’t know “what was going to happen just a week ahead of time,” but I do think it couldn’t have been only a matter of a few weeks. If I’m remembering my DS history correctly, the show was about to go under, and they decided to pull out the stops and add in a vampire. Even if only for 13 weeks. Of course we all know what happened next!

Still, don’t you wish Diana Millay could have come back at some point to play some different characters?
